Moonstruck, I cleanse myself…
About the Full Moon and the cleansing ritual.
The Moon symbolizes feminine energy, the power behind my creativity, and where my entire emotional existence begins. I look at the Moon and feel like howling, touching it, and basking in its uncaptured light. I relate to the Moon and believe we have an unspoken relationship. I love it, and it’s part of my life.
The mysticism behind the Moon converts or awakens a specific part of the world towards its essence. It does this because the Moon, regardless of your religion, beliefs, or social status, is independent and doesn’t care. The Moon symbolizes astrology, esotericism, sciences, emotional waves, and a round element of inestimable value in its grandeur. And this time, like in previous Moonstruck phases, I wish and Moonstruck, I balance myself; the Moon comes and does something for you. Now, it cleanses and fulfills you, offering you a symbolic moment of complete purification.
Thus, the cleansing ritual is when you are the center of your universe, see yourself, and strip away everything you dislike or harm you. You detach from guilt, past memories, and traumas, making room for love and well-being.
In this ritual, you learn about forgiveness because only through forgiveness can you purify yourself.
The story goes that, on the night of the full moon, werewolves transform into wolves, thus revealing their true calling. The transformation itself comes like a curse due to the unbearable pain of the moment, but once the wolf form takes shape, the wolf’s freedom is boundless. It runs through the forest, howling at the Moon, lost in the infinite satisfaction of its inner need. For an entire night, the werewolf, now a wolf, purifies itself from the human form, letting its essence come to life. For me, this is wonderful! The beauty of the werewolf behind the curse speaks of the purity with which the Moon touches our bodies, transforming us into our most perfect form.
Close your eyes and imagine you are a wolf in the forest, running and breathing naturally the overwhelming air of the trees that slowly pass by. It’s night, and the full moon is the only light that floods your path. You look at it and howl, and then you can let out the animal sounds of all the times you couldn’t howl. You unleash and let your anger become music for the Moon.
How does this make you feel? What feelings does it awaken in you? What does the transformation into a wolf and its freedom mean to you?
The wolf symbolizes belonging, creative magic, and a connection between people and nature. The symbolism behind the transformation makes my stomach come alive, giving me unreal emotions of pleasure. My image, stripped of human clothes and dressed in the animal fur of the wolf, awakens the woman in me, opens me up, and brings me into a parallel reality where the esoteric mysticism of my mind bows before the sacred animal of Mother Earth. This cleansing awakens me to life!
This is my way of howling at the Moon.
Full Moon Ritual
The Full Moon cleansing also draws upon the intentions set during the New Moon. Now you enjoy your fullness, to release everything that lies useless within you. The ritual symbolizes your state of mind and your need for connection with your higher self. Don’t be afraid; you are safe, and the Moon is here to protect you.
With that said, let’s start by preparing the space, indoors or outdoors; you need:
- paper and something to write with
- white candles
- objects you like and want to charge with the moon’s energy
- white clothes
- music
- The paper has intentions for the New Moon.
- Smile and hold it for a few seconds.
Now we continue!
As before, because the moon’s energy is felt three days before and three days after, my advice is to prepare for the ritual, through intention, three days in advance. This way, you will be prepared for action, and the magical moment will come naturally.
Ideally, on the night of the Full Moon, you would perform this ritual outside to see the Moon when it’s not cloudy. Even if it is cloudy and you can’t see it, you can feel it. It would be best if you let yourself do it.
Start by looking at the moon, then with elegance and simplicity, light the candles, arrange the table, and prepare your space to satisfy you. You can put flowers, crystals, necklaces, bracelets, tarot cards, photos, essential oils in a diffuser, incense sticks, decorative objects, etc., anything that pleases and awakens your inner divinity. Do this while wearing white clothes and be present in what you do. The ritual only works through spiritual presence, that is, through focus on what you are doing. Enjoy the time offered to you because you honor yourself, celebrate yourself, and offer yourself an intimate connection with your experiences.
Stay in them, feel each emotion, and see how it feels, how you think, or how you cope with everything that lives within you. Take about ten active breaths; it can be more; the important thing is to calm your mind and be focused on what you need to cleanse. Sit with your eyes closed or open; sit however you need to. You can dance to the Moon; you can talk to it. Look at it and whisper your needs, connect with the source of your emotions, be one with them, and then take the sheet of paper and write down what you want to release, cleanse, and purify.
You can write however you want, you can draw, you can write letters to what you want to let go of. There is no fixed rule; be precisely who you are and let the pencil write as your soul feels. Your subconscious already knows what it needs to do. After you have written, read it aloud to hear what disappears from you, then set it on fire until it turns to ash in the wind. Also, now is when you will burn the paper with intentions from the New Moon ritual.
Fire purifies any wound, leaving warmth behind!
Stay in this ritual as long as you need, write as much as you want, and do whatever you need to be at peace with yourself in intentions, balance, and purification!
Look at the Moon and say thank you!
Full Moon December 19, 2021: The last full moon of this year.
It’s with joy and much purification for me. Being the last full moon of the year, I want to cleanse and purify myself so that the new year will be abundant and clear in purposes and needs. This moon has strong effects, so making peace with it and enjoying its energy is good. Regardless of the cleansing that occurs, be convinced that what leaves you is only for your benefit.
